Fashionable and cosmopolitan, Mykonos is probably one of the most famous Greek Islands and generally considered a jewel of the Cyclades.
Celebrated for its endless nightlife and ubiquitous music, the island offers one of the most enjoyable moments at sunset, when the sky behind the iconic old windmills and the so-called ‘Little Venice’ gets tinted in purple.
The best place to enjoy this view is one of the bars on the East side of Mykonos harbor. The price for a cocktail is outrageously high, but for once it is worth, because sunset in Mykonos is really superb.

Mykonos is high on my list to visit! You’ve made it even higher – great images! And yes, the Greek sunsets are best enjoyed with a great cocktail – but I’m normally too busy with my tripod…
These photos are stunning my friend!! Love the sunset image at the top. Now, I need to visit Mykonos as well!

How many cocktails did you have when you took that sunset picture? In most places it would be several for me for the world to be that tilted. In Mykonos perhaps only one.

Haha! Indeed only one, Andrew. Considered how shameless expensive cocktails are in Mykonos, for once I sipped mine veeeery slowly…
