It’s hard to think at Greece without immediately visualizing Mykonos and Santorini, two of the most beautiful islands in the Aegean Sea. Perched on a hill, the iconic Mykonos windmills welcome the visitors arriving from the sea with their white circular shape and the conic roofs outlined against the blue sky.

Wow!! What a stunning and vibrant pic! Had no idea that Greece had windmills too!!
I really enjoyed this little island. It was so much fun getting lost in the maze of streets. It was 15 years ago since my husband and I visited it. I wonder how much it has changed?

I couldn’t say if it has chanced since it was my first visit. I don’t think much, however. At least, not the historical center.
Ever since I “fell in love” with the beauty of this country, I have directed all my paths to take myself there. It’s been seven years of dreaming to visit Greece. I’m still dreaming, taking any action I could and believing that I’ll be there someday.
You’ll sure go some day, Lafni. And you’ll love it!
That is a super stunning photograph! Looks like a lovely place to relax

Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Mary. The Greek islands, especially the small ones, are beautiful.
Aww… I’m not an expert on how windmills work… but I know the production was stopped in the middle of the 20th Century. I guess that they were abandoned for some time and probably restored in most recent years…
Gorgeous – but looking at them, I wonder how they work? They have no sails or blades??
