Museums and art exhibitions in Milan are not comparable to the wonderful ones in Paris, London or Madrid; however, the city has been improving in the last few years. The latest addition is the ‘Museo del Novecento’ – the 19th Century Museum opened in December 2010 – collecting some of the best works by Italian artists of the last Century, like Mimmo Paladino.
As part of a monographic exhibition dedicated to Paladino the stunning installation ‘Montagne di Sale‘ (‘Salted Mountains’) was welcoming visitors just a few steps from Milan Cathedral.
