There is a time of the day that I call the ‘magic hour’, after sunset but before night when the sky becomes deep blue, with a shade of pink on the horizon.
Lucerne at twilight stroke me with its beauty. The tiny old houses, the bridges, the mountains in the background, the lights reflecting in the lake, and a wonderful deep blue sky enveloping the city, one of the nicest in Switzerland.

Magnificent shot my friend!! I so badly want to get to Switzerland! Another stunning shot from my fav!
Wow! What a great photo, Simon! I haven’t been to Lucerne yet, but this picture makes me want to go! We’re thinking of going to Zermatt in May – maybe I need to plan in some time for Lucerne too.

Simon, the shade of pink on the horizon would have been behind your back. But I know what you mean and furthermore you have captured the light perfectly.

Gosh… It took me a while to understand what you mean with the pink on the horizon behind my back. I suppose it’s related to the direction of the sunset. If I got it right… Means that I still have a lot to improve when editing the photos. Would have never thought at something like that
I’ve never been in Lucerne, but in Geneve and in other small villages around in Switzerland and the lights and colours of that country when the sun comes down are beautiful. I love Switzerland and your pic shows all the beauty of this country!

Such a gorgeous photo. I’ve been in beautiful Lucerne at twilight, but don’t have a photo that captures it as well as yours.
