Searching for new discoveries and at the same time being a creature of habit. That sounds like a contradiction, but that’s me. There are places where I go again and again, never getting tired to see them as every time I discover something new, a detail I had missed the earlier time.
Barceloneta beach in Barcelona is one of such places. It doesn’t have fine white sand, nor has water blue, green or turquoise colors. But I like walking along the seashore, stopping in one of the restaurants for lunch, looking at the people, laying on the beach with a good book.
Along the beachfront there is this strange sculpture. A few days ago, with the stormy sky as a backdrop and a wonderful light, it struck my imagination as never before.

Can I order a print, please? That is one great photo. I can’t believe I didn’t go to the beach in Barcelona when I was there a few years ago. Parc Guel distracted me. Too many things to look at in that very photogenic city.

This is what I adore about Spain in general. Everywhere you turn, it seems that modern art plays an important role. I LOVE this picture. The sand is almost mustard color.

Love this photo: threatening clouds, a structure that looks about to topple, a touch of tornado-yellow… impending doom.

Thank you Sophie. Indeed, it was like a perfect moment. A pity I didn’t have my camera with me, so I relied on my i-Phone…
Thank you Jeremy. The light was so amazing that I couldn’t help take a picture. As for Barceloneta beach… true, it’s not a natural one, But it has become such an important part in the life of the city!
What an awesome photo of the beach! It’s been a few years since I’ve been here but Barceloneta beach has a nice appeal – despite the fact that it is man made.
