Along South Africa beautiful Wild Coast, Lubanzi is a little isolated village overlooking the hills and the sea cliffs in a dramatic landscape. Local villagers mostly live in the traditional round huts, often decorated externally with brilliant colors.
People live simply, with what little they have, but they welcome visitors with their smiles, happy to share. It’s another world and another dimension, made of small things and the magnificent nature. Once you’re there, you would never leave.

We loved our stay at Wild Lubanzi with Aidan and Rahel, and thought that the area was one of the most photogenic places we’ve ever visited. Here’s our experience as well as more photos!

Lubanzi was beautiful! We stayed at Wild Lubanzi a for a few nights in October 2011. Aidan and Rahel were great hosts. It was one of my favorite places to take pictures of our entire year of travel– the colors, the people, the hills and grass were too photogenic!
Here’s our blog post and more photos of this beautiful spot! http://butforthesky.com/2011/11/the-wild-coast/
So nice to read that you’ve been at Lubanzi too, Claudia. I guess you can easily imagine how I fell in love with the place!
It is really a beautiful place, the huts blend with the environment.
What fantastic colour. It’s a great shot.
