And Then… I Eventually Saw the Penguins!

Seeing the penguins… That was one of the highlights of my wild journey across South Africa.

Along with sharks and whales,  penguins are among my favorite animals but I never got the chance to see them, until I went to the awesome Boulder Beach, in the Cape Peninsula, where a colony settled in 1982. Luckily, although it’s possible to see the penguins from a short distance, the area is protected to preserve this endangered bird.
