Seeing the penguins… That was one of the highlights of my wild journey across South Africa.
Along with sharks and whales, penguins are among my favorite animals but I never got the chance to see them, until I went to the awesome Boulder Beach, in the Cape Peninsula, where a colony settled in 1982. Luckily, although it’s possible to see the penguins from a short distance, the area is protected to preserve this endangered bird.

Oh, so CUTE! I just showed this to my son and thought about how wonderful it would be to be in a place that is so beautiful and has these animals walking around! How special.
