Gambia: Woman and Child at Tanji Fish Market

Gambia: Woman and Child at Tanji Fish Market

Gambia, Woman and child at Tanji Fish Market

The Gambia… Tanji fish market… A whirlwind of colors, people, buzz, life.

A woman with her child, walking along the beach as if she was unaware of the people around her. She puts her hand on her forehead, a simple gesture full of elegance and significance, although I’m not sure what it really means. I can’t help thinking how much elegance and harmony there is in what seems like a moment of pure perfection.

This is Gambia. A  beautiful piece of Africa that touched my heart.

_______

Note: I am thankful to The Gambia Experience for the invitation and the wonderful time I had the opportunity to spend in this beautiful country. As always. feelings and opinions are my own.
