Overlooking Princes Street and facing the Castle Rock, the awesome Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh is one of many beautiful buildings of the Scottish capital.

Built as a ‘Railway Hotel’ by North British Railway and opened in 1902, the Balmoral got its current name only in the late 1980s, when it went under an extensive refurbishment enhancing the beautiful architecture.

I totally agree! Edinburgh remains my favourite city in UK. Walked past this building almost everyday to Princess st.
